Privacy Policy
FindMeeting is built to need as little of your data as possible. There are no accounts, no logins, and no email required to create or join an event. This policy explains what we do collect, why, and the choices you have.
Who we are
FindMeeting (findmeeting.fit) is operated by Code Shock, which acts as the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us at zac@codeshock.dev for any privacy question or request.
What we collect
When you create or join an event, we store only what the tool needs to work:
- The display name you type when adding your availability.
- The time slots you paint, attached to that event.
- Event settings you choose (such as the title, candidate dates, and time range).
- Coarse, aggregate usage analytics (for example, that a page was viewed or an event was created) to understand how the tool is used.
What we do not collect
- No accounts, passwords, or email addresses.
- No advertising identifiers, and we do not run third-party ad networks.
- We do not sell or rent your data to anyone.
Why we process this data
We process the information above to provide the service you asked for — coordinating group availability — and to keep the tool working and reliable. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a functional, minimal scheduling tool, and, where applicable, your consent when you choose to submit availability to an event.
Third parties
We rely on a small number of processors to run the service:
- Google Firebase — hosting and the database that stores events and responses.
- PostHog — privacy-friendly, cookieless product analytics.
These providers process data only to deliver their part of the service on our behalf.
Data retention
Events and their responses are deleted automatically after 90 days of inactivity. We keep the data no longer than needed to run the tool.
Cookies and analytics
Our analytics are cookieless: we do not set tracking cookies, and analytics state is held only in memory for the duration of your visit. We also respect your browser's “Do Not Track” signal. Because we set no non-essential cookies, there is no cookie consent banner to accept or reject. If we ever introduce cookie-based tracking, we will ask for your consent first.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your data, and to object to or restrict its processing. Because we store no account, the simplest way to remove your data is to delete your response within the event, or to let the event expire. For any other request, contact us and we will help.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date at the top of this page.
